The combination includes two medicines: Pantoprazole (proton-pump inhibitors), Domperidone (prokinetic). Both medicines used in the combination works differently. Pantoprazole functions by reducing the acid amount in the stomach that helps in providing relief from acid-related indigestion and heartburn. While Domperidone works to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines by acting on the upper digestive tract that allows the food to move easily throughout the stomach
Pantoprazole and Domperidone Tablet provide relief for a long time. Domperidone +pantoprazoleis used to treat backflow of stomach acid into the food pipe, inflammation of the lining of the food pipe, stomach, and duodenal ulcers. It is a prescription medicine. This medicine contains Pantoprazole and Domperidone. Pantoprazole works by preventing the acid secretion in the stomach. Domperidone works by blocking the brain cell receptors and gives an antiemetic effect. Domperidone+Pantoprazole is also used to relieve the symptoms of nausea and vomiting, upper stomach discomfort with the feeling of fullness and backflow of food from food pipe to mouth.
Precautions for Pantoprazole and Domperidone Tablet
- Store pantoprazole & domperidone tablets as per the instructions.
- If having a dry mouth then alcohol-free mouthwash can help.
- In case the patient’s body develops diarrhea then should drink plenty of fluids.
- Patients with underlying kidney or liver disease should consult their doctor before using this medicine.
- In case there is no improvement in the symptoms after taking the medication for 14 days then it needs attention.
- Long-term usage of pantoprazole & domperidone tablets can cause a deficiency of minerals so take adequate dietary supplements as prescribed by the physician.
